Moonlight dress has an oversize fit with a positive ease of approx. 20 cm. If a tighter fit is desired, it is advisable to knit one size smaller. The bottom has plenty of width to give the dress a flattering cut, and the glitter thread is kept in a subtle shade to make the dress suitable for both everyday and party wear.

The Moonlight dress is knitted from the top down in one piece and is assembly-free. The dress is easy to knit as it is only knitted in knit stitches throughout, making it very beginner-friendly.

The Moonlight Dress has an oversized fit with approx. 20 cm / 8" positive ease.

3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle 60 cm / 24" // double pointed needles // circular needle for magic loop

4 mm / US 6 circular needle 40 cm / 16" // double pointed needles // circular needle for magic loop

5 mm / US 8 circular needle 40 + 60 cm / 16" + 24" // double pointed needles // circular needle for magic loop

8 mm / US 11 circular needle 100 cm / 40" or longer

17 stitches x 22 rows in stocking stitch on needle size 5 mm / US 8 = 10 x 10 cm / 4" x 4" knitted with DROPS Air.

The knitting tension on the bottom is not that important. Be careful that the bottom does not become too heavy if you choose a different yarn for the dress.

Yarn A: DROPS Air (50 g = approx. 110 m)
Yarn B: DROPS Melody (50 g = approx. 140 m)
Yarn C: DROPS Flora (50 g = approx. 210 m)
Yarn D: Kremke Soul Wool Stellaris (25 g = approx. 560 m)

Yarn A: 3-4 (4) 4 (5) 5-6 skeins
Yarn B: 2-3 (2-3) 3-4 (3-4) 4-5 skeins
Yarn C: 2 (2) 2-3 (2-3) 3-4 skeins
Yarn D: 1 (1) 1 (1) 1-2 skeins

The dress in the picture is knitted in DROPS Air color 62, DROPS Melody color 35, DROPS Flora color 38 and Kremke Soul Wool Stellaris color 149. I used a little over 3 skeins of Air, 2 skeins of Melody, 1 skein of Flora and 1 skein of Stellaris.
