The ballerina top has an oversized fit and is intended as a top that can be worn for years to come – first as a short dress and then as a top. If you want a tighter fit, you can knit one size smaller.
'Ballerina top' is knitted from the top down in one piece and is assembly-free. The top is easy to knit, and the following techniques are used:
• Knit and purl stitches
• Turned right and turned wrong
• Yarn over the needle / let the stitch fall
• German Short Rows
• Twists (can be omitted)
• Closure with i-cord
The dress can be knitted without short rows and cables, which makes it very beginner-friendly.
